Behind the scences I'm a nerdy Husband and Father still trying to nail his Dad jokes. My hobbies include gaming, fishing and darts, which I will claim I used to be quite good at. I just tell myself that I've took an early step down to let the next generation succeed. With over three decades of life experience, I've learnt a few things along the way:
I'm a big music lover with a varied taste, but mainly rock and metal. So feel free to talk music with me, I love discovering new bands and songs.
I began my design journey working on a web app that streamlined the admin side of a Passive Fire Protection team.
Soon after I was hired as a web designer and that’s where I still am. I work with the marketing team to design emails, social media posts, banners and landing pages for the various sub companies, including Staples UK.
During my day to day I use Adobe Creative Cloud to create visuals and assets, everything needed to bring the design briefs to life. Everything is coded in HTML and CSS using flexbox and most recently bootstrap with the occasional javascript to add more functionality. Some of these examples can be seen in my portfolio below.
Right now, I’m expanding my skills, diving deeper into JavaScript frameworks such as vue.js and React and Java to provide the backend support and transition into more of a Full Stack Developer, I know this is a long process but I’m all for it!
